Most Transgenderd Girls are in or will be in relationships with a genetic girl. Realizing that being a TGirl is not readily accepted by society is well known by TGirls and this becomes a difficult area when in a relationship, especially when married. The majority of TGirls are married and are not gay. Living with this "secret" is difficult at best, but opening up to a Significant Other (S.O.) is perhaps much more trying. We all want our S.O. to know our feminine side and to accept this part of us, but communicating this to our S.O. can be a positive or negative experience. The discussion has both strengthened and destroyed marriages.
I created this page to not recommend such open discussions with your S.O. and not to discourage it either. It is a personal decision. The articles and resources here will help you if you are considering opening up to your S.O.  This page is also a place where you can have your S.O. learn more about the life of a TGirl better. I will continue to add resources here as I find them. If you have any suggestions, please email me at rachelwilliston@yahoo.com . I am here to help  if I can.
Here are a few of my own personal thoughts ...
  • Being a TGirl is not a choice.
  • TGirls have a feminine side that cannot be denied in the long run.
  • Tranvestism or Crossdressing is not considered a sexual deviation by the American Psychological Association.
  • There is no "cure" for being a TGirl and therapy will not stop a TGirl from being a TGirl.
  • The majority of TGirls are married and are not gay. They love their S.O.
  • Keeping their feminine side hidden from their S.O. is a difficult thing for a TGirl and is not lying or being dishonest. Not revealing her feminine side is a result of not wanting to lose their S.O. rather than an attempt to have a secret life of some sort.
  • If a S.O. accepts their partner's feminine side, the relationship will become stronger and happier.

I have made the first of hopefully several movies to hopefully help your significant other understand us TGirls a bit more. Just click the link just below here to open the movie or right click and choose "save target as" if you want to save it to your computer (this option will be quicker).
